The Roy and Patricia Disney Family Foundation Partners with Resilia to Strengthen BIPOC-led and Serving Nonprofits

Partnership provides support through capacity-building technology and 1:1 nonprofit coaching to BIPOC-led nonprofits in Los Angeles County

New Orleans, La. - Resilia, a social enterprise with offices in New Orleans and New York City, and the Roy and Patricia Disney Family Foundation (RPDFF) have come together for a one-year pilot project to build the capacity of nonprofits serving diverse communities within Los Angeles County.

RPDFF seeks to foster a more equitable and sustainable world. With an emphasis on trust-based grantmaking, the Foundation supports its nonprofit partners through multi-year general operating support, project-level support, and capacity-building initiatives that strengthen programming and operations.

Through grantmaking, internal investment tools, and leadership development, the RPDFF builds healthy, long-lasting relationships with its grantees, philanthropic partners, and the community. As part of the partnership, Resilia will provide 1:1 coaching, online training, fundraising tools, and peer-to-peer learning to help nonprofits build capacity and maximize their impact.

“We are very excited about this pilot project which gives 25 of our grantee partners the ability to utilize Resilia’s services at their own pace and grow their organizational capacity. Through this partnership, we are reinforcing our commitment to helping our grantee partners continue to grow and improve their internal operations to better serve their communities,” said Frida Hatami, RPDFF’s Grants Manager.

"We’re pleased to partner with the Roy and Patricia Disney Family Foundation, which supports nonprofits that are aligned with Resilia’s values and close to hearts, including some in our home base, New Orleans," said Sevetri Wilson, founder and CEO of Resilia. "We look forward to working together to strengthen these organizations and increase their ability to make a meaningful, lasting impact in their communities."

Through the partnership, the Roy and Patricia Disney Family Foundation has joined Resilia's Elevate initiative, a first-of-its-kind national learning and action network of 50+ funders aimed at elevating the capacity and voices of BIPOC-led and BIPOC-serving grassroots organizations.
