Legacy Foundation Partners with Resilia to Strengthen a cohort of Grassroots Organizations in Lake County, Indiana

Initiative to focus on supporting grassroots, place-based changemakers 

New Orleans, LA. - Resilia, a social enterprise with offices in New Orleans and New York City, and Legacy Foundation have come together to strengthen the capacity of grassroots organizations in Lake County, Indiana. 

Legacy Foundation’s mission is to transform Lake County by providing strategic leadership and impactful philanthropic support to ensure equitable opportunity for all communities that it serves. The partnership with Resilia aligns with Legacy Foundation’s IDEA (inclusion, diversity, equity & access) framework.

“Over the past couple of years, COVID has exacerbated some of the health disparities in our communities. Capacity Building is necessary to ensure the long-term sustainability of these organizations providing vital services in our communities. Legacy Foundation is excited to partner with Resilia to provide capacity-building support to nonprofits in Lake County, Indiana,” says Kelly Anoe, Vice President at Legacy Foundation.

Through the partnership, Legacy Foundation has also joined Resilia’s flagship ELEVATE initiative, a first-of-its-kind national Funders collaborative comprising 28 Funders and aimed at elevating the capacity and voices of BIPOC-led and BIPOC-serving grassroots organizations throughout the country.
