Rachel Costa has almost 20 years of professional experience across the private and public sectors, spending the first half of her career in event marketing and advertising before following her passion to mission-driven work. Prior to joining Resilia, Rachel was the Director of Advancement for the Children's Environmental Literacy Foundation. Based in Westchester, NY, she helped CELF expand their work to new territories, embedding sustainability and environmental equity into school culture and curricula in K-12 schools in NYC, across the tristate area, and Texas. Rachel was previously the Director of Advancement at the DreamYard Project, an arts and social justice organization, where she spent 6 years raising critical resources for young people in the Bronx. She received a B.A. in Psychology from Boston University, an M.A. in Criminal Justice from John Jay College, as well as a Certificate in Fundraising from NYU’s School for Professional Studies. Rachel also completed the prestigious Leadership Fellows New York program in 2018. This fellowship is designed for nonprofit leaders who are advancing social justice missions in New York and beyond, designed to strengthen participant's knowledge and skills in equity-focused leadership, management, financial planning, resource mobilization, and communications.
