The New York Women's Foundation Partners with Resilia to Strengthen Women-Led Grassroots Nonprofits

Partnership provides support through capacity-building technology and 1:1 nonprofit coaching

New Orleans, La. - Resilia, a social enterprise with offices in New Orleans and New York City, and The New York Women's Foundation (The Foundation) have come together to strengthen the capacity of grassroots, women-led nonprofits.

The Foundation’s framework is rooted in gender, racial, and economic justice, based on trust and guided by community. The Foundation utilizes trust-based philanthropy to cede grant decision-making power to the communities impacted by their funding decisions. The Foundation fosters nonprofit sustainability and empowers lasting change by offering support “beyond the grant” and building long-term relationships with grantee partners.

Through the partnership, Resilia will provide 1:1 nonprofit coaching, online training, back-office resources, fundraising tools, and peer-to-peer learning to help local changemakers grow their organizations and maximize their impact.

Dimple Jobanputra, Senior Program Officer at The Foundation, shared, “The New York Women’s Foundation is excited to partner with Resilia for the first time to address our grantee partners’ collective capacity-building needs in a manner that is timely, responsive, and meaningful year long. The Foundation is deepening its investment in women and gender expansive individuals and organizations because oftentimes leaders of color cannot access such resources to succeed and be sustainable.”

"We are thrilled to partner with The New York Women's Foundation," said Sevetri Wilson, founder and CEO of Resilia. "Together, we’ll help build the mission-facing and back-office capacity of women and gender expansive -led nonprofits, increasing their ability to help women, their families, and their communities thrive in New York and beyond.”

As part of the partnership, The Foundation has also joined Resilia's Elevate initiative, a first-of-its-kind national learning and action network of 50+ funders aimed at elevating the capacity and voices of BIPOC-led and serving grassroots organizations.
