Resilia Acquires Lightful’s BRIDGE Program

Expanding nonprofit digital capacity building worldwide
Announcement March 2026

We've long believed that strong nonprofits need more than operational know-how. They need the confidence and digital skills to tell their stories compellingly, grow their audiences online, and diversify their funding streams. Today, we're taking a meaningful step toward making that support more accessible than ever.

We're excited to announce that Resilia has acquired the assets of Lightful's BRIDGE program — a high-impact digital capacity building initiative that has helped over 3,000 nonprofits across 80+ countries build the skills to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

What Is BRIDGE?

BRIDGE — Building Resilience in Digital Growth and Engagement — is Lightful's flagship learning program for nonprofits. Developed and refined over several years by Lightful, a certified UK-based B Corp, BRIDGE was built around a simple but powerful idea: that digital skills aren't a "nice to have" for nonprofits. They're essential to mission delivery, fundraising, and long-term organizational resilience.

The program delivers blended learning through masterclasses, one-to-one coaching, on-demand content, and purpose-built digital tools — all structured within a six-month cohort model that creates accountability, peer learning, and real, measurable progress. Participants develop skills across four core areas: digital strategy, storytelling, campaigning, and fundraising.

"The BRIDGE programme helped us in terms of building our capacity to embrace digital platforms and digital technology. We got access to capacity building materials which were very priceless."

Why This Matters

Here's something we hear from foundations all the time: your grantees have strong missions and real impact — but they often struggle to translate that into compelling digital content, sustainable online fundraising, or the kind of audience growth that unlocks long-term resilience. The gap isn't commitment. It's confidence and skills.

BRIDGE was purpose-built to close that gap. And the results speak for themselves.

96% of participants report an increase in digital confidence after BRIDGE
210% average increase in funds raised year-over-year across cohorts
2× & 3× increase in audience growth rates and audience engagement
13× increase in the number of new donors among program participants

Statistics from BRIDGE cohorts funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (2020) and the Jessie Ball DuPont Fund (2020–22).

What Changes — and What Doesn't

The BRIDGE program's approach, curriculum, and commitment to nonprofit success remain intact. What changes is the ecosystem it now sits within. By bringing BRIDGE into Resilia's platform, foundation partners and their grantees can access a more complete capacity-building journey — combining the operational frameworks and coaching infrastructure you already rely on with the hands-on digital skills training that BRIDGE delivers.

Think of it as complementary strengths now working together:

  • Resilia's all-in-one capacity building platform — resources, coaching, and real-time progress tracking available 24/7
  • BRIDGE's proven digital skills curriculum — masterclasses, 1:1 coaching, on-demand content, and purpose-built tools
  • A structured, six-month cohort model that drives accountability and measurable outcomes
  • Deeper support for fundraising, digital storytelling, audience growth, and campaign strategy

Whether you're a foundation looking to offer more comprehensive support to your grantees, or a funder who wants to truly move the needle on your portfolio's digital resilience — this expansion is designed with you in mind.

Our Commitment Going Forward

At Resilia, we've always believed that money alone doesn't create change. Without confidence, knowledge, and systems, even well-intentioned nonprofits can't deliver the impact you're funding. This acquisition deepens our ability to address all three.

We're grateful to the Lightful team for the years of work, care, and partnership that made BRIDGE what it is today — and we're committed to honoring that legacy by continuing to expand its reach and impact.

We'll be sharing more details in the coming weeks about how BRIDGE will be integrated into Resilia's platform and what this means for current and future foundation partners.

Let's talk about what this means for your grantees.

Our Director of Partnerships, Miles Smith, is happy to walk you through what the BRIDGE program can do for your portfolio — and how it fits into Resilia's broader capacity-building ecosystem.
