Grantmakers for Girls of Color Partners with Resilia to Strengthen Grassroots Nonprofits

Partnership to assist organizations focused on supporting diverse girls, femmes, and gender-expansive youth of Color

New Orleans, La. - Resilia, a social enterprise with offices in New Orleans and New York City, and Grantmakers for Girls of Color (G4GC) have joined forces to strengthen the capacity of nonprofit organizations that support the leadership and power of girls, femmes, and gender-expansive youth of Color.

G4GC strives to create a philanthropic home that invests in the power and capacity of organizations making transformative societal change. The partnership with Resilia will support nonprofits that are led by and center Black, Indigenous, Latina, Asian, Arab, Pacific Islander, trans, and other girls, femmes, and gender-expansive youth of Color.

“G4GC is excited to partner with Resilia to offer our incredible grantee partners the support and tools they so richly deserve,” comments Maheen Kaleem, VP of Programs and Operations. “We truly believe that Resilia offers a set of resources typically unavailable to our grantees, who represent organizations that have been historically underinvested in. We are so proud to partner with a Black-woman-owned company that truly understands the needs of our communities.”

“As a Black female leader, I know the immense value of investing in young women of Color,” said Resilia CEO and Founder Sevetri Wilson. “Resilia is happy to partner with Grantmakers for Girls of Color to strengthen the capacity of so many organizations doing extraordinary work.”

Through the partnership, Grantmakers for Girls of Color has also joined Resilia’s Elevate initiative, a first-of-its-kind national learning and action network of 50+ funders aimed at elevating the capacity and voices of BIPOC-led and BIPOC-serving grassroots organizations.
